One Thing I Could Change

If I could change one thing that has happened in the past in my life, it would be to have my grandma back. My grandma passed away a week after my fifth birthday and I was devastated. I was really close with my grandma and loved spending time with her. When we received the call about my grandma, my family was shocked because it was so unexpected. If I could bring her back it would affect not only me, but the rest of my family and her friends. Everybody loved my grandma. She was so friendly, lovable, caring and easy to get along with. I would finally get to spend time with her again and have her involved in my life. She would have loved to come watch my football games last year. She also would have been excited about me getting my license. I really miss my grandma and wish she could come back.

The People I Value Most

The two people I value most in life are my mom and dad. I value them most because they are always there for me and always want the best for me. My mom and dad taught me everything I know from crawling to walking, from making sounds to talking, and from riding a bike to driving a car. They show me everyday, from the day I was born until now, how much they love and care for me by providing for me, keeping a roof over my head, supporting me in everything I do, and teaching me the responsibilities of every day life. They always show me how proud they are of the person I am becoming. Even though, my parents make me do things I sometimes do not want to do, they explain to me how it will make my life better in the long run. When I grow up and have a family, I hope to be as great a parent as mine are. I am lucky to have parents like my mom and dad.

One interesting thing I did this summer

One interesting thing I did this summer was get my temps. I was waiting a long time for this to happen. I was so excited because I knew the time was almost here. I could not go take my test until August 20th and it seemed like it took forever for that day to come. I was constantly counting down the days. I spent a lot of time studying the book to make sure I passed the first time. Finally, the day had come and I was really nervous. When my dad got home from work, he took me to the BMV in Elyria. While taking the test, I had to take my time. I had to make sure I did not mess up. I was really excited after the test when I found out I had passed. I could not wait to drive, so my dad let me drive home. Now, whenever we go somewhere, I'm the one usually driving. Both my parents told me I was a good driver, and should have no problem passing the test to get my license when I'm 16.

My Name

I think my name, Justin, is as plain as white bread. You pronounce it Jus-tin. It is of Latin origin and is a variant of Justus. There are eighteen different forms of Justin. The name Justin means just, upright, and righteous. Justin is a very popular name for males. As of 2012, it is fifty six out of one thousand two hundred twenty for popular names, which is a drop because in 1990 it was number one. Justin is also a popular last name, twelve thousand eight hundred twelve out of eighty eight thousand seven hundred ninety nine. The name Justin has been used since the late middle ages, but did not become common until the twentieth century. Justin was a popular name among the early Christians because it embodies "fairness", one of the Christian principles. The name Justin is celebrated as a Saint Day on January first by the Catholic church, also celebrated on September seventeenth by the Catholic church in honor of St. Justin.
I'm the first person in my family to have the name Justin. I was named this because my parents both liked the name. I also like my name, when I hear somebody say it, my face lights up like the sun.

Never Give Up

The rule I follow most is to never give up. I believe in this rule because I feel I will not reach any of my goals in life if I give up. There may be situations that come up where they seem too hard and it would be easy to just give up and quit, but I know if I stay determined and try hard and push through it, I can overcome those situations. Most anything that is worth accomplishing is going to be a little difficult, but do not give up. For example, Early College sometimes gets hard, but when it does I just keep trying until I accomplish what I need to because what I get at the end will be worth the hard work. I just always keep in mind what the reward will be at the end of the task. This makes me keep going. I know that nothing is out of reach if I never give up.
